Where this came from
nomad.poe started as a field problem. Every camera install hits the same wall — you need power and a network to aim, focus, and configure the camera, but neither exists yet at the point of installation.
The existing tools — Veracity, Axis — solve part of the problem, but they're outdated hardware at a premium price. Proprietary batteries. 10/100 ethernet. No software integration.
nomad.poe runs on the Makita or Milwaukee batteries already on your truck. Gigabit ethernet. Built-in Wi-Fi router. Pairs with free software. $299.
The product line
nomad is a brand for field tools built around a consistent workflow. nomad.poe is the first device. nomad.ip ToolBox is the first software. More tools are in development.
The goal is a platform that reduces the time, equipment, and friction involved in camera and network installations — tools that a tech reaches for on every job.
Production status
nomad.poe is a working prototype in limited production. Units are being built and tested. The waitlist is open. If you're a company looking to put these in your techs' hands, get in touch directly.
